Silent Auction Terms & Conditions

  1. General Rules
    1. All bidders must be at least 18 years of age.
    2. By placing a bid, you agree to comply with all terms and conditions of the auction.
    3. All sales are final. No refunds, returns, or exchanges will be provided unless stated otherwise in the item description.
  2. Bidding Process
    1. Bidding will take place during the NMSDC Annual Conference & Exchange from 12:01 a.m. on October 20, 2024, until 8:30 p.m. on October 23, 2024.
    2. Each silent auction item will have a designated digital bid sheet. Participants must include their full name and bid amount to place a bid.
    3. Bids must meet or exceed the minimum bid increments of $500. Bids that do not meet this requirement will be disqualified.
    4. Bidders are responsible for monitoring their bids during the event.
  3. Winning Bids
    1. The highest bid on each item at the close of the auction will be the winning bid.
    2. Winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony & Farewell Reception, between 6:00 p.m. and midnight on October 23, 2024. If the winner is not present, they will be notified via the contact information provided.
  4. Payment
    1. At the close of the silent auction, a payment link will be texted to the winners. Payment is due upon receipt. Accepted payment methods include credit cards.
    2. If payment is not received within NET10 of the receipt of the payment link, the Auction Organizer reserves the right to offer the item to the next highest bidder or re-auction the item.
  5. Item Collection
    1. Upon receipt of payment, NMSDC will connect winning bidders with the executive assistant for the lunch participant.
    2. Within 30 days of being connected to the executive assistant, winning bidders will submit at least 10 dates for review by the lunch participant’s executive assistant.
    3. Winning bidders have up to one year to redeem one lunch, minimum of 60-minutes, location to be chosen by the two parties.
    4. NMSDC may pay for the lunch out of the proceeds of the winning bids. Invoice must be submitted to NMSDC 30 days from the date of the lunch to be considered for reimbursement.
    5. Any travel to and from the lunch, including airline flights, taxis, etc., are the responsibility of the winning bidders.
  6. For Bidders:
    1. The purpose of the Silent Auction is to support the NMSDC mission and provide connections and thought leadership via 1-1 meetings with leading leaders in our network. No business is guaranteed.
  7. Disclaimer
    1. The Auction Organizer is not liable for any damages or injuries that may occur as a result of participation in the auction or use of auctioned items.
    2. By participating in the auction, bidders release the Auction Organizer, its volunteers, and its affiliates from any claims or liabilities.
    3. No current or future business is guaranteed.
  8. Tax Deduction
    1. Some purchases may be tax-deductible, but it is the responsibility of the bidder to determine the tax implications of their bid.
    2. A receipt will be provided upon request for items purchased.
  9. Privacy
    1. Personal information collected during the auction will be used solely for the purposes of the event and will not be shared with third parties without the bidder’s consent.
  10. Amendments
    1. The Auction Organizer reserves the right to amend or clarify these terms and conditions at any time.
