About NMSDC & the Conference

Connecting supplier talent with corporate need, driving growth and prosperity for all.

National Minority Supplier Development Council logo and tagline: Advancing Economic Impact Together

The National Minority Supplier Development Council® (NMSDC®) was created in 1972 to serve as an important bridge connecting American corporations with a diverse supplier community made up of minority businesses at a time when access and opportunity were purposefully limited.

This mission remains our priority and focus, recognizing the need still exists today.

"The NMSDC Network is about helping diverse small business suppliers — historically overlooked, even today — get access to the opportunity to get in the room, tell their story and compete. When a diverse range of proven suppliers are made available, the best companies win, employment numbers go up, tax revenue increases and economic growth is supported. That’s the NMSDC model."

— Don Cravins, Jr. CEO & President, NMSDC

Access to opportunities enables proven minority business suppliers to compete on fair terms to close contracts, hire more employees and deliver robust ROI to corporations around the US.

Local, state and national economies benefit by new jobs being created, tax revenue generated, supply chains strengthened and communities that become more stable and more resilient.

Shared prosperity means progress that multiplies for more than just one business — prosperity impacts the people and places connected to it.

2026 NMSDC Conference & Exchange

The very first NMSDC Conference & Exchange opened its doors in 1984 in Detroit with a specific goal in mind — the same goal we have today  —  supplier and corporate connection and shared prosperity.

The NMSDC Conference & Exchange connects corporate leaders, supply chain and procurement diversity program managers, small businesses, minority business enterprises, suppliers, partners, advocates and others to share knowledge and best practices, exhibit services and products, and connect in one place, at one time.

This year's conference is in Los Angeles, California, a city established and run on the power of a wide diversity of people and industries working together for shared prosperity.

The goal of the Conference & Exchange is to turn the connections made here into actionable, measurable results, offering more access to compete fairly, more contracts earned, more corporate capacity and return on investment delivered, and more scale achieved.

This is the place. This is the time.

Join us as we work to grow the US economy and deliver shared prosperity.
